Krrish 3 box office collection crosses ₹2 billion in ten days, beats Chennai Express, 3 Idiots

Father son duo Hrithik Roshan and
Rakesh Roshan’s film Krrish 3 is
beating one and all and every day it
is breaking one or the other
records set by films in decades.
The film that didn’t begin in fairy
style like Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai
Express and brought more people
to theaters as days passed, has
come on the verge of becoming not
just the highest grosser in the
country, but also the first that may
touch the magical figure of Rs 300
crore in the days to come.
After becoming the highest single
day grosser in the country, beating
Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film on the
way, Krrish 3, Hrithik Roshan’s sci
fi film has become the highest
grossing film in second week.
Though it is still going to take a
couple of days in actually
becoming the highest grosser of
Bollywood history, it has become
the highest grosser in the second
week within days. Its week 2
collection on Friday, Saturday and
Sunday was Rs 40 crore. King
Khan’s Chennai Express earlier this
year had grossed Rs 25 crore
during the same period.
Krrish has also become the fastest
Rs 200 crore grosser till now as
within ten days its box office
collection had reached Rs 200
crore. The most amazing part of
the film is the fact that the film is
still going very strong. This Sunday,
the film’s collection at the box
office in India alone was as high as
Rs 16 crore. Most of the big films
in the country actually get this sort
of response on the first day of
their launch and then start going
down. This is the first film to
collect Rs 200 crore in as few as
ten days and still going strong. This
means that Krrish 3, Hrithik
Roshan’s sci-fi film is going to the
first Rs 300 crore film in the
country. Many had predicted the
same about King Khan Shah Rukh
Khan’s Chennai Express but after
doing exceptionally well in the first
week, its collections nosedived in
the second week and couldn’t make
more than Rs 224 crore.

As far as breakup of second
weekend collections are concerned,
the film has done impressive
business. Second weekend
collections have been more than
impressive and augur well for it to
do even better in the days to come.
On Friday its collection was Rs
9.16 crore that went up to Rs
14.23 crore on Saturday and
touched a high of Rs 16.44 crore
on Sunday. Meanwhile Hrithik
Roshan is on the moon with the
massive success of his film. He is
also happy as his wife and kids
have like the film. “She (my wife)
was happy to watch the film and
my kids also loved the film”.
Despite his past successes it is the
first time that he has given such a
massive hit and he deserves all the
praise both from critics and his
